All cleaned up and ready to go!

The case was cleaned, paint splatters scraped off,  a fine steel wooling, a touch up stick to the dings, then Howard’s ‘Restor-A-Finish’ was applied for an even mahogany finish.  The brass pedals were polished.

She's ready to play and party!

This whole piece is indicative of what we typically do to rehab a piano either for ourselves or for our customers who need the piano to last many more years.

If you'd like a similar rehab for your piano, give us a call and we'll come out to look at your piano. Estimates within the greater Albuquerque area are free.

Every piano has different needs and as such will require more or less work done to bring it back to a useable state.

Please note, a rehab like this is affordable for most people. This rehab cost well under $1000. (June 2012)

A full rebuild/restoration can get pricey but then it's almost a new piano. Full rebuilds start at about $1800 for a restring up to several thousand for a full refinish, new strings, action parts and new tuning pins and pinblock.

We've rebuilt many pianos, both uprights and Grands. We will show some full rebuilds when time allows.

A rehab like this is about a two week turnaround. A full rebuild usually takes us about 3 months to a year depending on the level of difficulty involved in the process.

We hope you enjoyed this article!
